Marc’s Eatery was created from a simple idea: that good food, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail should never be compromised. Just three kilometres from Maun Airport,
our garden restaurant offers a relaxed oasis where guests can enjoy thoughtful food,
warm service, and a moment away from the dust and heat of town.
The Story
After many years of training chefs within Botswana’s hospitality industry, Marc knew he could build his own team and create a place where good food, care, and creativity could flourish. With a foundation in French cuisine, years spent as a “bush chef” cooking over open fires for guests on safari, and extended travels through the Sahara exploring the kitchens and markets of Morocco, Marc developed a deep appreciation for diverse food traditions. Alongside his love of Italian cuisine, these experiences inspire the flavours and dishes served at Marc’s Eatery today.
In his own words: “I wanted it to feel like coming home to eat with family and friends at my grandmother’s table.”
The Place
Although the Eatery is not located in the centre of town, it sits in a lush garden setting that offers visitors a peaceful escape. Surrounded by greenery, it provides a welcoming space where guests can slow down, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere while sharing good food.
